After school, you run into Payton as she’s rushing across campus!

ADDISON: Whoa, Payton! What’s the hurry?

PAYTON: My sister says if I want to get into a good college, I need a ton of extracurriculars for my application! I don’t even have ONE curricular, much less EXTRAS! I was heading to the office to sign up for something… but I have no idea what.

ADDISON: Well, what are you interested in?

PAYTON: Shopping. But colleges aren’t impressed with an ability to combine a neon yellow sweater, a lime green tweed mini-skirt, and plum-colored heels into a chic outfit.

ADDISON: I’M impressed! But I see your point. Hey! You like helping people, and you’re great at social situations! Maybe you can give out advice?

PAYTON: Ooh! The school newspaper’s looking for someone to run their advice column on Twitter! That’s helping! I can do that! Addison, you’re a genius! Plus… @AskPayton does have a nice ring to it!

PAYTON: My first tweet came in! It says, ‘@AskPayton, I feel like I’ve met everyone at the school, but I still want to meet new people. What do I do?’

ADDISON: Ooh, that’s a good question! How are you going to reply?

PAYTON: I have the perfect answer! A PARTY! The best way to get new people to come to this school is to throw as many parties as possible! And if different types of people host, different types of classmates will join our school!

ADDISON: Sounds good to me. But who’s throwing the first party?

PAYTON: You are!

ADDISON: Got one. It says, ‘@AskPayton, our Mock Trial team’s made entirely of girls, and I’m the only guy! How can I balance the scales?’

PAYTON: Easy answer! Mock Trial needs guys who are interested in law! Any guy who’s in student gov would do the trick!

ADDISON: Okay… but how do we recruit these guys?

PAYTON: We throw ANOTHER party… or two. It might take a couple parties to find the right people, but if we keep trying, we’ll eventually get them!

ADDISON: Let me guess… a party?

PAYTON: No, silly! Partying’s for fun. DATING is for celebrations. You know… it’s time to cele-date!

ADDISON: That’s not a word…

PAYTON: But it should be!

PAYTON: I love it! Working on the school newspaper will totally help me get into college, and I have SO much fun helping people with their social dilemmas! I only wish I had more questions to answer!

PAYTON: I hope so! I LOVE telling people what to do… er… helping people out!

ADDISON: Of course!

PAYTON: All right! @AskPayton is in! Let’s tackle some questions!

ADDISON: First one. ‘@AskPayton, I have a history test tomorrow, and I’m worried I won’t do well! What should I do?’

PAYTON: That’s easy…

ADDISON: Throw a party?

PAYTON: I’m not all about parties! School is important too. I’m going to tell them to find a classroom and hit the books until they know the material front and back!

ADDISON: What’s up?

PAYTON: The person who told me they were nervous about the history test is asking for more help! Come on, Addison! We’re going to make sure this loyal Twitter fan is studying right!

A few minutes later, you walk into a classroom where Bailey is pacing back and forth.

BAILEY: Payton! You’re here!

PAYTON: So what’s wrong? Need more studying tips? I like to use sparkly, scented notecards…

BAILEY: No, it’s not that. I’ve studied a lot. I’m just so nervous. And the test is starting really soon!

PAYTON: Aww, a lot of people get nervous before tests. I definitely do. Just take a couple deep breaths! Breathe in… and out…

BAILEY: Thanks, Payton. I feel a little better.

PAYTON: Now get in there! And think positive! You studied. You know this.

Some time after the test, Bailey runs up to Payton.

BAILEY: Payton! There you are!

PAYTON: So? How’d it go?

BAILEY: ...I did it! I got an ‘A’!

Later that afternoon, you and Payton check the @AskPayton feed…

ADDISON: Here’s a good one for you. ‘@AskPayton, I’m new in town, and I’m looking for fun things to do on the weekend! Any recommendations?’

PAYTON: There’s SO much to do! There are romantic dating spots to go to, there are hot parties to hit up…

ADDISON: Good answers all around. Ready for the next message?

PAYTON: Hand on, I’m not done yet! It’s not enough to TELL someone about the dates and parties… you have to SHOW them! Come on, Addison! We have a busy night ahead of us!

PAYTON: Ohmigosh, Addison! A whole bunch of tweets came in while we were out! I never thought I’d say this… but maybe my Twitter feed is TOO popular! I don’t know if I can handle ALL these messages by myself…

ADDISON: Hey, I’ve got your back! We’ll answer questions together!

PAYTON: 238. Two more just came in.

ADDISON: Let’s not focus on numbers. Whenever I think something’s overwhelming, you know what always helps me?

PAYTON: Hot chocolate?

ADDISON: Well, I was going to say ‘tackling one thing at a time’, but hot chocolate sounds good! Let’s go make some.

A short time later, hot chocolates in hand, you and Payton sit in front of your respective computers.

PAYTON: Hot chocolate? Check. Computers? Check. Everything’s checked out! Let’s start answering questions! ‘@AskPayton, how can I tell if my crush likes me?’ Well, if someone likes you, they want to be around you. They look for excuses to bump into you in the halls and stuff, right?

ADDISON: Yeah, that sounds good. Here’s another one… ‘@AskPayton, I’m going to hang out with my crush tomorrow! What do I wear? Do I go casual or formal? Help!’

PAYTON: Ooh, what are you going to say?

ADDISON: They should definitely go… Formal. You want to look your absolute best when you’re with your crush.

PAYTON: Write it! Sounds good to me! Next question…

A couple hours later…

PAYTON: Aaaaand we’re done! Last question answered!

ADDISON: Whew! What a marathon!
